Becchi has picked the wrong target. Mikie Sherrill is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and was one of the first women eligible for combat. As a Navy helicopter pilot, she flew missions in Europe and the Middle East. After her military service ended, she obtained her law degree from Georgetown University and worked in the U. S. Attorney’s office.
