Become a Committee Member
The Sussex County Democratic Committee is composed of two members from each voting district in every town of Sussex County. The representative will have a four-year term. Members must be a registered Democrat in Sussex County. A committee member may be elected or, if no selection is made for a district, be appointed by their municipal chairperson.
We currently have districts that are not represented on the Committee. If you are interested in becoming a Committee member, or just want to learn more about Committee membership, contact us at [email protected].
As a member, you participate in the committee's decisions during our meetings, which take place about two months. You may participate in SCDC events and on subcommittees to assist with party activities. You are also are granted the privilege to vote at our annual convention for the primary candidate of your choice.
