Scott Garrett stands alone among New Jersey’s congressional delegation with his vote against funding for our nation’s highways and mass transit systems.

Earlier this year, both houses of the New Jersey Legislature unanimously adopted a bill (S2360) that would require that law enforcement be notified if someone seeking to purchase a firearm went to court to expunge a record of a mental health commitment.

At last night’s meeting of the Warren/Sussex Branch NAACP in Washington, NJ, President Charles Boddy announced that starting with the WSNAACP meeting scheduled for April 7, 2016, every third meeting of the WSNAACP thereafter will be held in Sussex County.

Shortly after Thanksgiving, the SCDC shared information about a rally to support the Syrian Refugees.  The simple act of sharing that information set in motion an interesting chain of events.

On Thursday, Assemblyman Parker Space and Assemblywoman Gail Phoebus will have an opportunity to showcase their political courage.

A rally to voice opposition to the rising xenophobia targeting refugees from the strife in Syria and elsewhere is scheduled for noon on Saturday, December 5th on the Newton Green.
