Find out what to do if you mail-in-ballot is missing, learn how you can switch from Election Day voting to VBM, what to look for in your VBM mailer, and more.

Mail-in ballots started going out on Saturday, September 24. VBM voters, if you have not received yours yet, now is the time to find out why! Please call the Sussex County Clerk's Office to discuss the issue and/or get a replacement ballot. They can be reached at 973-579-0900. You can also contact the Sussex County Board of Elections at (973-579-0950) or the New Jersey voter information hotline (1-877-NJ-VOTER).

If you are registered to vote at the polls but would like to switch to VBM, it's not too late! You can request a mail-in ballot by mail until Tuesday, November 1. From November 1 until November 7 at 3 PM, voters can apply in person to vote by paper ballot at the Sussex County Clerk’s office in Newton. You can download the VBM application here:

If you have received your ballot, make sure you check the mailer for all of the different pieces you will need to successfully vote. Look inside the envelope you receive in the mail for these items:

*A ballot

*An inner envelope with an attached certificate

*A mailing envelope

In our next installment, we will go through the steps you will need to take to fill out your mail-in ballot and make sure it counts!
