Senate Passes Bill to Protect Marriage Equality in NJ...with no help from our LD 24 Reps

The Sussex County Democratic Committee is pleased to see the Senate approve legislation that will help preserve the rights of same-sex couples and LGBTQ+ families in New Jersey. However, we are dismayed and deeply ashamed at the “No” votes provided by our very own LD 24 Senator Steve Oroho, Assemblyman Parker Space, and an abstention from Assemblyman Hal Wirths.
It is an insult to the dignity of the LGBTQ+ community and sends a clear message that they are unwilling to support all of their constituents. We encourage you to contact their office to voice your concerns.
