Partners in the Community Unite to H3AL

Sussex County Commissioner Candidate Scott Paul has continually demonstrated his commitment to bettering the community. His latest endeavor is a coalition comprised of community leaders, faith leaders, and stakeholders, known as the H3AL Coalition (Highlighting Equality & Equity through Education, Advocacy, and Love).
“I've been working on this for the past couple months with some incredible people. Topics of racism and systematic oppression have been a priority for me this past year because I think this is such a crucial time for learning, healing, and progress. The community asked for this and I think they will be proud to see what we have in the works. More information on the H3AL Coalition coming soon 🤝🩹❤

For the past year our country and much of the world has taken a more serious look into systems of racism and oppression. The issues are complex as are the scars they have left and continue to leave. I have been consulting with an informed network of people throughout our county and state to highlight these topics of anti-racism and bring about real progress. Sussex County residents for months have been asking our representatives to create a coalition to effectively discuss and tackle these issues and the urgency is felt.

I am really excited to announce to all Sussex County residents that I have formed a coalition comprised of community leaders, faith leaders, and stakeholders. The name our community coalition is the H3AL Coalition (Highlighting Equality & Equity through Education, Advocacy, and Love). Healing starts with identifying what causes the wounds then finding treatments and that is what we plan to do. It is no secret that I became involved in local politics after seeing the lack of support and understanding surrounding anti-racism but I am also inspired by the elected officials throughout New Jersey who have stepped up to advocate alongside the people.

Next week we will be announcing more regarding the H3AL Coalition and how interested parties can participate!
