List: Ballot drop boxes in Sussex County

Ballot drop boxes have been set up in half of Sussex County's 24 municipalities as election officials prepare for a general election that will have fewer people voting in person amid the pandemic.

The county Board of Elections has installed boxes at 11 secure locations for residents to drop off their ballots for the Nov. 3 election.

A ballot drop box is seen in front of the Hopatcong Municipal Building Wednesday, Sept. 30.

Boxes are at the following locations:

  • Andover Borough Municipal Building
  • Frankford Township Municipal Building
  • Franklin Borough Municipal Building
  • Fredon Township Civic Center
  • Hardyston Township Municipal Building
  • Hopatcong Borough Municipal Building
  • Newton Municipal Building
  • Sandyston Township Municipal Building
  • Sparta Township Municipal Building
  • Vernon Township Municipal Building
  • Wantage Township Municipal Building

Two more drop boxes are planned for Andover Township and Montague, with locations still to be determined, and are expected to be set up by mid-October. Residents are asked to check the Sussex County clerk's website for updates on the two installations.
