Our “straight talking” Governor?

Chris Christie took office as US Attorney in 2002, after being named to the job by President George W. Bush and being confirmed by the United States Senate in December, 2001.  He claimed on national television that he was appointed on September 10, 2001, implying that he was on the job the next day, September 11, 2001.  This was not true.

Christie glibly spun the facts surrounding his appointment for dramatic effect.  He was putting down fellow Republican presidential aspirant Rand Paul.

Christie now says he didn’t lie.  Well, maybe he left himself some wiggle room.  However, it’s for certain that he did not “tell it like it is” like the “straight talker” he claims to be.
