Greetings Fellow Democrats!
I want to take this opportunity to thank all of you who came to our reorganization meeting on June ninth, and update everyone on some of our summer activities.
Over fifty enthusiastic Democrats attended Tuesday night’s meeting. We stood strongly to support our new leadership and gave our sincere thanks to those who have served so honorably. Our next meeting will be Thursday August 27th. It will commence promptly at 7:30pm and we will continue to meet at 6:00pm for dinner prior to the meeting.
Please keep in mind The Sussex County Fair will run from July 31 through August 9, 2015. A $50 donation will get your name on the banner that will hang in our tent, but time is running out. Make your check payable to SCDC and send it to Diane Wexler, 6 Lawrence Drive, Highland Lakes, 07422.
Jacky Stapel, the Chair of the Fair Committee, is still looking for volunteers to staff the tent. We need your help. If you are able to cover one or more time slots, please send an e-mail to [email protected], or contact Sally Sattin directly.
SCCC Thursdays on the Green begins June 25th and runs every Thursday night until July 30th. We continue to need volunteers to help staff the table. This is a really fun, family event, and the music is great! Please contact Mike Figueiredo at 973-626-3539 if you are able to help out.
The Sussex/Warren picnic is set for Sunday July 12th, at Sand Bar Park in Hackettstown from 1-5pm. Join us for burgers and hot dogs; feel free to bring your favorite potluck creation! RSVP for Sussex 201-704-6601; Warren 908-763-3461.
