Jackie Stapel

Executive Director

Jacky Stapel was born and raised in Sussex County.  Both of her parents were employees of the County of Sussex and very active in the Union.  Her father as Vice President and her mother as Secretary of the union prior to the CWA.  Volunteering and standing up for working people were ingrained in her and her sisters at an early age.

Jacky has been involved with the Sussex County Democratic Committee as a volunteer since 2002.  She has worked on multiple campaigns doing everything from door knocking and phone banks to covering shifts at various events, Treasurer and campaign manager.
In 2014 Jacky took over as Chair of the Fair Committee for the SCDC booth at the state fair.  This gave her the opportunity to help bring new volunteers into the fold using her organizing and training skills as a Senior Sales Executive. She was appointed Outreach Chairwoman in 2015.  That same year she ran for State Assembly on a progressive platform that included school funding reform, accountability of our leaders in Trenton and bringing more funding back to the 24th district.
Jacky has been an elected member of the Sussex County Democratic Committee since 2015 as the female representative for Frankford District 1.  She has 5 children with her husband of 16 years Ryan and they recently relocated to Hardyston.
