Of course, paying hard earned dollars for federal taxes is no fun.  And for Congressman Scott Garrett’s constituents, it’s not only unpleasant, it’s also unfair. We in Sussex County get so little of that tax money back.

Democratic CD5 congressional candidate Josh Gottheimer places the blame for this unfairness on incumbent CD5 Congressman Scott Garrett. Garrett’s not doing his job. He has failed miserably in bringing back a fair share of the tax money his constituents contribute to fund the federal government. We get back only thirty three cents for every dollar we send to Washington. That’s less than half the average for the rest of New Jersey.
