VOTER REMINDER POSTS, Day 14 - Rides to the Polls

If you are planning to cast your ballot on Tuesday, but have transportation issues that might preclude you from getting to the polls (or know someone who is in this situation) and can't ask friends, family or neighbors for a ride, you still have a very reliable option available to you.

Try Lyft.

On Election Day, Lyft is offering one half-priced ride up to $10 to your polling location using the code 2022VOTE. To get started, go to https://account.lyft.com/auth... if you don't already have a Lyft account or use the Lyft phone app.

If this option does not work for you, please feel free to contact us at [email protected]. We may be able to assist you in finding someone local to give you a ride. Also, if you are available to drive to the polls on Election Day and would like to offer your help, please let us know that too.

Carpooling to the polls is perfectly legal in the state of New Jersey; according to FindLaw.com, "if you know people who are unable to get to the polls themselves, it is perfectly acceptable for you to offer to give them a ride to the polls. It is also legal for you to ask a friend for help getting to your local polling place if you need it." (Source: https://www.findlaw.com/.../can-i-drive-people-to-the...)
