Senate Republicans have just blocked a bipartisan commission to investigate the January 6th insurrection at our nation’s Capitol through use of the filibuster.

The chamber approved the package after a grueling marathon of amendment votes and last-ditch negotiations. The measure must now clear the House a second time.
