This is our general meeting of the Sussex County Democratic Committee.  It will commence promptly at 7:30.  All are welcome to attend, whether or not you are a committee member.  We will gather, as usual, for dinner together at 6:00 prior to the meeting.  The speaker will be former Ambassador to Germany, Phil Murphy.

Ambassador Murphy is among the four or five Democrats on the current list of possibilities for nomination in the gubernatorial election that takes place in 2017.

Sussex Democrats are grateful to Murphy for his financial assistance to both the SCDC and the Warren County Democratic Committee. That assistance is earmarked to fund an ongoing outreach program in Sussex and Warren counties. WCDC Chair Tom Palmieri says that the program has already had an effect. It was instrumental in creating the groundwork for winning at least one municipal election last November. Democrat Steve Ellis was elected Mayor in Blairstown.

Everyone is welcome to attend the January 19th meeting. In fact, please join us before the meeting to dine and chat. The diner opens the meeting room for our use starting at 6 pm.
