SCDC meeting on August 27th will examine LGBT issues

The featured speaker at the SCDC meeting scheduled for Thursday evening, August 27th, at 7:30 is a member of the LGBT Caucus of the New Jersey State Democratic Committee.


John Kashwick, who formerly served as an elected Republican member of the Closter, New Jersey, municipal council, now serves as Democratic municipal Chair in that Bergen County community. He will speak about party building and address the political effects of Congressman Scott Garrett’s recently expressed homophobia.

The meeting takes place at the Hampton Diner which is located one mile north of Newton on Route 206.

Everyone is welcome. You are urged to attend and take part.
