Salute to Veterans ceremony at High Point monument set for Sunday

“The Sussex Elks Lodge will host its ninth Salute to Veterans ceremony and dinner on Sunday.  The ceremony will begin at 2 p.m. at the High Point Veterans Monument in High Point State Park. There is no admission fee to enter the park and get to the monument that stands 220 feet tall and sits atop the highest ground elevation in New Jersey. The monument, a granite obelisk, was completed in 1930.”

This is the ninth ceremony, although one was not held last year because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The ceremony includes speeches and a moment of silence.
