With 6.3+ million unprocessed individual returns and 2.3 million unprocessed amended returns, Representative Josh Gottheimer urged the IRS to take immediate action and reduce these massive backlogs.
Less than a week later, 1,200 workers are now being reassigned to cut through the backlog and deliver returns people have been waiting for thanks to his hard work.
