Why isn’t Pride Month on the June 8th Sussex County Board of Commissioners Agenda?
Recognizing Pride Month through a proclamation should not be controversial. Offering support, dignity, and acceptance of a group that has been historically marginalized demonstrates empathy in our modern-day society. It literally saves lives. Those within the LGBTQ+ community can be found across the political spectrum — even the NJ State GOP has recognized Pride Month on their social media platforms. So, why isn’t Pride Month on the June 8th Sussex County Board of Commissioners Agenda?
