The Hopatcong Borough council meets are usually held meetings on the first and third Wednesday of each month at 7:30 PM.  Meetings are held at the Borough Hall, located at 111 River Styx Road Hopatcong, NJ 07843.

On Feb. 1, the all-Republican borough council of Hopatcong voted unanimously to designate a nearly 33-acre parcel of land within the Borough as “an area in need of redevelopment.”
