CD5 Democratic candidate for Congress Josh Gottheimer met with Sussex County law enforcement officers in Newton on Wednesday. The meeting was at the invitation of P.B.A. Local 138, a union representing police officers in Sussex County.

The invitation and the visit followed up Gottheimer’s endorsement by the New Jersey State Policemen’s Benevolent Association, the largest police union in New Jersey, with 33,000 members.  Gottheimer’s adversary, incumbent Congressman Scott Garrett, has never received the endorsement of the group.
