Count Congressman Scott Garrett among those Republican politicians who continue to support and endorse Donald Trump.
See this report from NorthJersey.com.
The nation’s recent look into the crude, shallow, arrogant and misogynistic mind of the GOP presidential nominee hasn’t affected Garrett’s desire to put Trump into the Oval Office. Garrett is content to give Trump the opportunity to serve as the White House role model for our country’s youth.
And Garrett isn’t the only GOP politician from our county who continues to support Trump. At last word, Sussex County GOP leaders haven’t backed off their enthusiastic endorsement of the seriously flawed demagogue.
Republican leaders across the nation have recognized Trump as a sexual predator who publicly boasts about his prowess and the opportunities that his celebrity affords.
John McCain came forward to say this:
“Donald Trump’s behavior this week, concluding with the disclosure of his demeaning comments about women and his boasts about sexual assaults, make it impossible to continue to offer even conditional support for his candidacy.”
But from the Sussex County GOP, there’s a deafening silence. Assemblyman Parker Space, Assemblywoman Gail Phoebus, Republican Committee Vice Chair Jill Space, and their Sussex County GOP colleagues seem to be standing fast backing Trump. They, and politicians like them, played a key role in causing the GOP to nominate Trump as its candidate for the highest office in the land.
