The Sussex Million Mom March Chapter of the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence will hold a candlelight vigil to honor the victims of the Orlando mass shooting. Saturday, June 25, 7-8:30 pm at the Newton Green in Newton. The vigil is cosponsored by the Church and Society Committee of the Sparta United Methodist Church and by the North Jersey Jewish Voice For Peace.
Please join us, bring your family and friends, and bring a chair to sit, if you need one. Bring a candle, say a prayer, read a poem. This is a time to mourn, a time to pray for our country, and a time to reflect on how we can continue to work to make our communities a safe place for everyone. This week, June 21, was Brady Campaign's ASK Day; a day when we encourage parents to ASK whether there are unsecured guns at a home where their kids go to play with friends. We will have ASK literature available to distribute at the vigil.
