Congressman Scott Garrett got the chance to once again exhibit his homophobia, and he took it.  Garrett voted against a bill that would have barred federal contractors from discriminating against employees on the basis of sexual orientation.

He was one of only two members of New Jersey’s congressional delegation to do so. The other was Chris Smith (CD4). Both voted against an amendment to H.R. 4974 that would prohibit the use of government funds in contravention of President Obama’s Executive Order no. 13672 of July 21, 2014 to promote Equal Employment Opportunity in the Federal Government.
