Regular Freeholder meetings are held on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at 6:00 P.M. unless re-scheduled by The Board.  All meetings are held in the Sussex County Administrative Center, located at One Spring Street, Newton, New Jersey.  For more information, click here.

Recent News for the Board of Chosen Freeholders:


On Wednesday the Sussex County Board of Freeholders, Republicans all, voted 3-2 against allowing Service Cable to tape and broadcast its meetings.


It was made clear at last night’s meeting of the Sussex County Board of Chosen Freeholders that the county’s representatives on both the State and Federal levels have failed to protect the basic needs of their constituents.


Hardyston Township resident and SCDC member Michele Van Allen has decided to run for Sussex County Freeholder in this year’s election.


Shortly after Chris Christie announced leaving the presidential race, Assemblyman Parker Space shifted his endorsement to Donald Trump. Well, sort of.


Last night in Newton, Ambassador Phil Murphy addressed the Sussex County Democratic Committee to describe his vision of what needs to be done in order for New Jersey’s middle class to achieve its potential.
