A judge in Bergen County found that there is enough probable cause to allow a citizen's official misconduct complaint against Gov. Chris Christie to move forward. The case stems from Christie's alleged involvement in the politically motivated Bridgegate lane closings and the subsequent attempted cover up.

Thus far only Christie’s staff and appointees have faced criminal proceedings. This action addresses the role played by Christie himself.
