Sussex County Democratic Committee vice chairman Dan Chiariello participated in the 2016 annual Labor Day March for disabled citizens in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

The march took place during the Rutherford Labor Day Street Fair, the largest street fair in New Jersey. The march was organized by the New Jersey State Democratic Party Disabilities Caucus, let by Dr. Salvatore Pizzuro. Over two dozen people took part in the event, including many advocates for disabled citizens. They were joined by several elected officials at the State and County level.

Parents and families made themselves available to discuss their concerns about what they believe to be dwindling resources and a weakened public policy regarding the quality of life for people with disabilities.
