Labor Day Walk for Citizens with Disabilities

Elected officials at the federal, State, County and local levels, along with the parents and families of people with disabilities will engage in the “Fourth Annual Labor Day Walk for Citizens with Disabilities” at the Rutherford Labor Day Street Fair on Monday, Sept. 5, 2016.

The families will assemble at the corner of Ames Ave. and Park Ave. in Rutherford at 11:00 am, when the march will begin. At the event, the parents and families will be available to discuss their concern about what they believe to be dwindling resources and a weakened public policy regarding the quality of life for people with disabilities.

The Annual marchers have included United States Senator Corey Booker (Pictured Below at the 2013 Labor Day Walk) and United States Congressman Bill Parscrell (Pictured Below at the 2014 Labor Day Walk). All advocates for Citizens with Disabilities are encouraged to join us.
