State funded lawyers obscure Christie’s Bridgegate role

New Jersey taxpayers funded an investigation of Chris Christie’s involvement in Bridgegate. So far it’s cost over 10 million dollars.

christie-mastro.jpgChristie picked the investigators, a law firm run by a friend of his, Randy Mastro.

To no one’s surprise Mastro’s firm wrote a report exonerating Christie of any involvement in the lane closings or the attempted cover up. Asked for back up for their conclusions, the lawyers said that they destroyed the notes of their interviews.

Now they are fighting a demand that they testify in court as to what they found.
