Over the past few months, Sussex County has seen a dramatic increase in the number of registered Democrats. Since February 2016, the number has grown over twenty percent, and now stands at just over 18,000.

Since that time, nearly three thousand registered voters changed their party affiliation to Democrat. The majority of those voters were previously unaffiliated, but the total number of 2856 also included 189 Republicans changing their affiliation.

The Democratic Party in Sussex County also added nearly one thousand new registered voters (996) who were unregistered as of February this year.
