Congressman Scott Garrett supports flying the confederate flag over mass graves in national veteran cemeteries.

African Americans who gave their lives for our country are buried in these cemeteries. They might have found this symbol of the dark days of our nation’s shameful acceptance of slavery flying over their graves distasteful -- to say the least. Certainly, their families do.

To have our representative in congress condone the practice is unconscionable.
