Both GOP congressmen representing Sussex County face challengers in the June 7th Republican primary election.

In the Fifth Congressional District Congressman Scott Garrett is competing for nomination against two Republican hopefuls – Peter Vallorosi of Newton and Michael Cino of Demarest.

In the Eleventh Congressional District Congressman Rodney Frelinghuysen is being challenged by Rick van Glahn of Denville.

In addition to the advantage of incumbency, both Garrett and Frelinghuysen have an enormous edge in campaign funds.
