The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) has included Josh Gottheimer’s campaign to unseat Scott Garrett in the Fifth Congressional District in its “Red to Blue” program.

As a result, Gottheimer’s campaign will receive financial, communications, grassroots, and strategic support from the DCCC.

The Democratic effort in CD5 is one of 19 Congressional campaigns the DCCC is targeting across the nation. In each of the 19 races, the DCCC sees a strong possibility to unseat a vulnerable Republican incumbent. At the moment, Garrett appears to be just that.
