Congressman Steve Rothman joined eleven other former Congressmen, all Jewish, to support the Iran nuclear deal.

During his tenure representing the 9th Congressional district, which does not include Sussex County, Rothman visited Sussex County on a number of occasions. During his last visit, which occurred shortly before he left office, he spoke at an SCDC event celebrating Sussex Dems who made extraordinary contributions to the party, one of whom was former Vernon Municipal Democratic Chair, Richard Conklin.

Many think Rothman could have defeated Scott Garrett in CD5 after redistricting in 2010. Unfortunately, he decided otherwise.
